The Art Collection of the Hecht Museum consists of two principal groups. The first, and larger group, includes many of the major aspects and styles of French painting from 1830-1930. The second group consists of Jewish art from the mid-19th to the early 20th century. These two groups, of French and Jewish artists, clearly reflect two principal interests of the late Dr. Reuben Hecht.
